Today’s Focus is On How to Create a Process!
Create a Process with a few easy steps. First of all, ask yourself the following questions.
1. How consistent are you and or team?
2. How do you lack consistently or flow?
3. Do you constantly start from scratch?
In addition, let’s think about a project you have coming up. Maybe an event or workshop that you are planning and you find yourself starting from scratch each time.
How can you create a process to streamline the work that goes into the planning and execution?
First Step:
What is the end result? Have you determined what it will look like? What is it going to involve? Because you will need to setup steps, you have to know where you are going. Spend a few minutes thinking about the vision of the project.
Second Step:
In conclusion, you have to create steps to reach your goal. Break down the larger project into manageable steps you can allocate in your calendar or delegate. Most often, you can find ways to streamline these steps for future repeatability and utilize past work on future projects.
Example:
If you are planning an event, think about all the details that will allow your end result to be achieved. Details could include:
• Food
• Location
• Timing
• Date
• Who is involved and who you will invite
• How you will invite them
• Social Media details
• Advertising/Marketing
Once you determine all the little pieces, get a notebook and create a tab for each section. As you accumulate details, make connections, or gather quotes, add them to the page divider. Once you do this, you can determine the correct steps and what needs to be worked on first and what works the best.
Once you get all the steps in place, you can train yourself and your team until the event works like clockwork. Allow the event to build upon each other. Also, take time to evaluate the event within 24 hours and write yourself notes on what worked well and what needs to be tweaked. This allows you to build repeatability and consistency.
