It’s hard to focus during the day on WORK if you didn’t sleep well the night before. Let’s talk about how to create the Perfect Bedroom.

5. Recharging
Take note the fact that there was no mention of work or exercise. Particularly relevant because it’s one of the biggest obstacles to overcome in a master bedroom.
THE BED
The bed should be easily approachable on both sides. You also want to avoid having the bed be in the direct path of the door to prevent additional energy. Most of all, make it a habit of making your bed EVERY morning. It creates a much-needed welcome at the end of a long day.
NIGHTSTANDS
Think about your night stands – you want them to be equal in size to promote equality in the relationship. Dim lighting is also a must to transition to sleep.
CLEAR THE CLUTTER
Clutter is also one of the biggest energy drainers. Having a disorganized bedroom does nothing to promote healthy sleep. Take the time to simplify your room of other furniture and items that do not support the 5 Rs.
SOOTHING COLORS
Colors create an enormous impact on the design of your room. They can produce energy and stimulate the brain. Or they can relax and sooth you to sleep. Focus on colors that are soft and wrap you while you are sleeping. Earth and skin tone colors that are rich and warm fit the bill. Everything from creams, coral, and copper to greens, blues, and lavender create a calm vibe and invite relaxing energy.
THE CLOSET
This area is the last one you want to think about while building the Perfect Bedroom. There is a direct correlation between your closet and your life. Chaotic closet = Chaotic Life! Get in there and ORGANIZE it! It’s the first thing you see every morning and often one of the last areas you see before bed. Create a beautiful boutique setting and Make It Sing!
