Goals should take you outside your comfort zone and push you to new heights. There is no telling what obstacles may lie ahead for you, physically or emotionally. Because struggles are inevitable; you must learn to overcome struggles.
Ignoring your struggles will not get you, your company, or your loved ones anywhere. Hit your struggles head-on and develop a solid plan on how you will overcome struggles. When you do this, you will find you are more prepared when they come and discover the impact of your life decreases.
Balancing yourself in life requires perspective in everything you do and will give you the strength to overcome struggles that come your way. In order to do this, discover how your strengths, weaknesses, fears, and disappointments feed into your struggles. Acknowledge when the struggle repeats and address changes that need to be made.
How you approach each struggle and your attitude helps determine how others will respond and how things will ultimately turn out. Understanding that you may not be the best in every area of life does not mean you cannot achieve balance and harmony.
It is Important To:
1. Focus on strengths first and foremost
2. Know what inspires you and go after it
3. Listen when people say you have a gift
4. Rally around your best attributes
If your weaknesses are holding you back or you are required to do a task you might not feel confident you can pull off, do not hesitate to address the issue yourself or delegate. Remember, you get much farther in life by focusing on your strengths when you are able and addressing your weaknesses before an issue arises.
When hindered by your own fears, do not be so quick to act that you leave reason and balance behind. You might not realize it, but fear and disappointment are part of everyday life—they just feel different when they happen in areas of your strength or weakness.
Since you tend to avoid the things in life that show your weakness, you often allow fear in the same areas to grow and fester. Soon it seems like something out of your control that makes you want to run and hide, no matter how big or small the troubles.
Five Steps to Overcome Struggles:
1. Focus more energy on your strengths
2. Acknowledge the struggle
3. What options focus on a solution
4. Create a plan or delegate the struggle head-on 5. Release negative thoughts
Living life for a purpose will always require action and sacrifice. Those who have lived full and fruitful lives had to go through difficulties they could have avoided. The price for stepping into the world and trying to make a difference requires you to address your physical, emotional, and social health, but do it anyway. Why? Because striving for balance is better for your long-term health than sitting in your comfort zone.
